FurMumma is a professional pet sitting business serving Albury, Wodonga and surrounds. Emma launched the business in early 2018 after struggling to leave her pets in the care of family and friends while they took a 4-day long weekend to Bright. Noticing other pet owners also finding it difficult, she recognised a need for a “surrogate fur mum” to step in to care for the pets while also taking the guilt and anxiety from the pet parents, so they would be able to enjoy their time away knowing their fur family were being well looked after.
Our 5 core values are trust, care, responsibility, communication and respect which underpin everything we do. We use user-friendly pet sitting software to communication with our clients and provide notes, photos and a checklist of tasks completed after each service.

We offer home visits to care for your pets in their own environments, regular or once-off dog walking, boarding in our home for those pets that need that bit more, pet taxi both locally and interstate, dogs day out adventures to fill your pups cup and pet wedding assistance so you can have your best mate right there with you on the big day. We are committed to our clients and will continue to grow and expand our services based on what is needed to support you.
We have a client base of nearly 300 pet parents and over 500 pets who use our services once in a blue moon, a few times a year or 3 times a week. I’m 29 and live in Albury, NSW with my partner Kyle and our 3 fur-kids, Denzel the Cocker Spaniel, Silas the Schnauzer x and Cheesecake the Tabby x Torti. I’ve lived here all my life and feel deep roots to this community.
I’m a bit precious when it comes to my pets so creating this brand and offering has really been a form of serving myself and what I have struggled with as a pet parent.
My professional background is in Real Estate and Media Sales but have always found myself drawn to animals. I’ve volunteered for Albury Wodonga Animal Rescue as a Foster Carer and Fundraising & Media Coordinator and have previously owned a grooming business called “Pawfection Pet Salon”. This will be the third time my path has aligned with animals.
Across 2014-2015 I was nominated for three awards for the Wodonga Red Carpet Youth Awards – Animalia Eco Warrior Award, Environment Award and Youth Ambassador Award. Along with this, I am also trained in Pet First Aid and CPR through PetTech.
I enjoy yoga, scuba diving and listening to audiobooks.
I grew up in an Army family so we moved around a lot and I experienced places all around Australia, finally settling in Albury Wodonga in 2004. I’m now 32 years old.
Throughout my childhood, I grew up around a variety of animals including dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, alpacas, horses. My favourite being my best mate, Prue the Mini Foxy.
Previously I have worked in Retail Management and Hospitality. Both key players in building my customer focus and leadership skills. We will continue to leverage off these as our team grows and expands.
I joined the FurMumma team in late 2020 to assist with the overflow and demand. It has been an exciting change of pace to switch up my days from managing a team in a store to caring for animals. Both fulfilling and fun!
I am also trained in Pet First Aid and CPR through PetTech. We update this training every two years.
In my free time I like to play computer games, paint and create 3D prints.

Set up your account with FurMumma by following the directions sent to your email.
Once in the portal, fill out the ‘My Info’ and ‘Pets’ sections.
FurMumma will book in your services and arrange a complimentary meet and greet prior to the service start date.
Attend your meet and greet and discuss your pets needs and routine. We will also collect a key from you for home visits.
